    AUGSBURG, Germany, June 7 /Xinhua-PRNewswire/ -- The
quest for another soccer championship will begin this
coming June 7 in Germany: soccer fans that cannot follow
the exploits of their national team in a German stadium
will have the opportunity to take part in winning the
competition for championship fan nation as the games
unfold.

    The Fan Hunter Web site will provide individual soccer
fans with the opportunity to be closer to the soccer stars
of their national teams and fans from around the world.
Users will be able to motivate, fire up and console their
favorite players, or even provide them with advice about
upcoming games, and post advertising on fan seats that have
been purchased. The goal of the portal is to create a
unique, peaceful historical document of this soccer event
in Germany.

    The hotels of all participating national teams will be
kept abreast of the action with a view to letting the
soccer stars know about the portal's existence, in the hope
that some of them might even e-mail a fan or two.

    Which soccer nation will be able to mobilize the
largest number of fans on the portal? If 100 fans purchase
seats worth EUR 100 ($125), one of these 1000 fans will be
awarded a EUR 5000 prize.

    Two percent of the proceeds will be donated to UNICEF.
Fans can publish anything they want on the Web site, as
long as it's in keeping with the peaceful character of this
