Japan Airlines Selects Goodrich's Electric Braking System for 787 Dreamliner Additions to Fleet

    CHARLOTTE, N.C., March 22 /Xinhua-PRNewswire/ -- Japan
Airlines (JAL) has selected Goodrich Corporation (NYSE: GR)
to supply wheels and electrically-actuated brakes for the
Boeing 787 Dreamliner aircraft it is adding to its fleet. 
JAL has 30 aircraft on order and is scheduled to start
taking deliveries of the new aircraft in 2008.  

    According to Jack Carmola, President of Goodrich's
Actuation and Landing Systems Segment, "The

fleet is the result of over a decade of research and
development by a cross-functional team of Goodrich
designers and engineers who were mindful of the voice of
the customer and the future demands of the marketplace.

    JAL has also chosen Goodrich to supply a traditional
braking system for the Boeing 737-800 aircraft being added
to its fleet.  Currently 30 firm and 10 optional 737-800
aircraft are on order with deliveries already underway.
