Vantage Hospitality, headquartered in Coral Springs, FL
(USA), is the 12th largest hotel company worldwide. In only
seven years of operation, Vantage's economy to mid-level
hotel brand, Americas Best Value Inn, has grown from two
hotels to over 650 properties throughout North America.
Lodging Hospitality magazine has named the brand The
Fastest Growing Hotel Chain in 2003, 2004, 2005, and 2006;
and awarded the brand The National Chain Leadership Award
in 2003, 2005 and 2006.

Americas Best Value Inn's success is built on the
Freestyle Lodging Membership Model, developed by Vantage's
CEO and founder, Roger Bloss. Considered an
"affordable alternative to franchising," this
membership model offers hotel owners low, flat monthly fees
based on number of rooms; no royalties, short-term
contracts, no liquidated damages, choice of amenities and a
voice and a vote in all major brand decisions. In 2005, the
average overall system Return On Investment was 629
percent.

"Hotel owners worldwide want more ROI and less
interference from franchise headquarters," said Soran.
"As one of the largest hotel companies in the world,
Vantage provides the resources and support necessary to
compete with other international brands, yet allows
individual hotel owners to make their own decisions based
on location and demographics."

Building on the success of Americas Best Value Inn,
Vantage introduced The Lexington Collection in the second
quarter of 2006. Premiering as the only membership brand
for three to four star hotels in the upper-mid to upscale
segment, The Lexington Collection currently has 12 hotels
open or under contract throughout the United States,
including several properties in the hotel-condo segment.

"The timing couldn't be better to introduce Chinas
Best Value Inn and The Lexington Collection," said
Bloss. "With China's attention to superb customer
service and our unique membership model that allows owners
to tailor their individual hotels to the needs of their
guests, Chinas Best Value Inn and The Lexington Collection
will quickly become major competitors in China's
hospitality arena."

Internet Broadcast Corp(TM) Upgrades Site to Offer Users Immediate Access to Searchable World News Broadcasts
August 17, 2006

Newly Named Internet Broadcast Corp(TM) Completes Second Round of Financing to Set Goal to be the Number One Global Internet Video News Source
    MONTREAL, Aug. 17 /Xinhua-PRNewswire/ -- The rapidly
growing Internet TV News Network, Internet Broadcast
Corporation(TM) http://www.ibctoday.com, formerly known as
MediaScrape(TM), today released new navigation expanding
access to world television news.

The company, headquartered in Canada, but with
thousands of users in the United States and beyond, also
announced a new broadcast partner and a goal to be the
number one global Internet video news source. Internet
Broadcast Corporation (ibcTODAY) is the first Internet TV
News Network to digitize analog TV broadcasts in a format
that is 100 percent high quality video,
on-demand, translated, interactive, free, searchable and
archived.

"This name change reflects ibcTODAY's goal to be
the leading international Internet TV News Network,"
says Tyler Cavell, Publisher of ibcTODAY. "The new
name explains more clearly what we are, and translates
easier to our global users."

The site currently has registered users from 91
countries and broadcasts two hours of news clips (one-three
minutes each) a day from North America, Asia, the Middle
East, Africa and Europe.

To achieve the company's goal of providing more
information in a user-friendly environment ibcTODAY has
employed groundbreaking navigational techniques, including
ajax .net components. This technology allows ibcTODAY to
retrieve data for the user without refreshing the page,
stopping the video or hindering site performance. Another
new feature is "one-stop-shop" navigation, which
enables users to watch video while browsing the top stories
from other regions.

"We sought feedback from our large base of users
to help us redesign ibcTODAY. With a substantial
re-investment in our technology we were able to improve the
site's navigation, specifically its video archive search
engine, and add to our impressive content library,"
states Tyler Cavell.

Internet Broadcast Corporation recently signed an
agreement with the Canadian Broadcasting Corporation (CBC)
to broadcast their top national and international stories.
The CBC joins ibcTODAY's other leading national and
international video news agencies and wholesalers,
including Associated Press, Canadian Press and Dogan News
Agency. Internet Broadcast Corporation has also signed
partnerships with local television broadcasters from
Georgia, Turkey, Azerbaijan and Armenia and expects to sign
on more than a hundred countries over the next year.

Broadcast Corporation also features message boards, blogs
and user submitted content. By offering its Internet video

Program Leaders Outline Effective Strategies for Fighting HIV/AIDS in Children in Resource-Limited Settings
August 17, 2006

    TORONTO, Aug. 17 /Xinhua-PRNewswire/ -- XVI
International AIDS Conference, Toronto, August 13-18, 2006
-- Program leaders from Bristol-Myers Squibb, New York
(NYSE: BMY), and Baylor College of Medicine, Houston, today
outlined innovative medical care, treatment and research and
social support strategies to fight HIV/AIDS among infants
and children in impoverished areas of sub-Saharan Africa.

Efforts include the arrival of 50 Pediatric AIDS Corps
doctors to a network of clinics treating HIV-positive
children in sub-Saharan Africa by next Monday; the opening
of a program to prevent mother-to-child-transmission of HIV
(PMTCT) through a government hospital and 15 feeder clinics
in rural Swaziland next month and the opening of two more
children's clinics in Uganda and Burkina Faso next year.

At a briefing during the XVI International AIDS
Conference, Mark A. Wainberg, O.C., O.Q., PhD., conference
co-chair and director of McGill University AIDS Centre,
Quebec, described challenges in addressing the special
needs of children in the developing world.

"In the last 25 years of the fight against
HIV/AIDS, we have seen many contributions by governments,
corporations and foundations to bring treatment to people
in need. However, as we gather here today, so much more
needs to be done," said Wainberg. "We need
innovative approaches to treat the most vulnerable
populations and also to bring access to treatment to the
world's most resource constrained locations. SECURE THE
FUTURE(R) is a wonderful model of how both of these goals
are attainable."

UNAIDS estimates that 2.3 million children under 15
years of age were living with HIV in 2005. Almost 90% of
the world's children living with HIV are in sub-Saharan
Africa, where fewer than 10% are being reached by basic
support services.

An initiative of Bristol-Myers Squibb and the
Bristol-Myers Squibb Foundation, SECURE THE FUTURE has been
working on the ground in sub-Saharan Africa since 1999 - in
partnership with government Ministries of Health, medical
institutions, NGOs and other organizations - to create
comprehensive approaches to fight HIV/AIDS.

Many programs have been dedicated to creating
sustainable, replicable model programs for children,
including a network of Children's HIV/AIDS Clinical Centers
of Excellence operated by the Baylor International Pediatric
AIDS Initiative; co-funding with Baylor the Pediatric AIDS
Corps to send 250 doctors to Africa over the next five
years to treat an estimated 80,000 children and train local
health care personnel; and operating a Community-Based
Treatment Support center focused on PMTCT.

    Additional projects supporting children include
education, psychosocial care and support for orphans and
vulnerable children, training, food security and
income-generating projects for caregivers; and community
mobilizations to reduce stigma and foster testing.

Because of the extreme burden of disease in this region
and a limited ability to pay for HIV medicines,
Bristol-Myers Squibb substantially lowered the price of its
medications to a level that delivers no profit to the
company in 2001. In July 2005 the Company further reduced
the price of pediatric formulations to significantly below
cost to accelerate access to treatment for the millions of
children in sub-Saharan Africa. The company also pledged
that its patents would not stand in the way of inexpensive
HIV/AIDS therapy being made available in sub-Saharan
Africa.

"Innovative strategies will be necessary to scale
up the care and treatment of hundreds of thousands of
HIV-infected children and families across sub-Saharan
Africa. We believe that the Children's Clinical Centers of
Excellence and Pediatric AIDS Corps will transform pediatric
and family HIV/AIDS care in some of the world's hardest hit
countries," said Mark Kline, M.D., president of the
Baylor International Pediatric AIDS Initiative, professor
of pediatrics and chief of Retrovirology, Baylor College of
Medicine. Kline announced that 50 Pediatric AIDS Corps
physicians will arrive in Africa by August 21 to begin
one-year assignments to treat children and train healthcare
professionals. They will be based at children's clinical
centers in Botswana, Lesotho, Malawi, Swaziland, Uganda and
Burkina Faso and serve at the centers and in nearby rural
areas as part of the $32 million SECURE THE FUTURE and
Baylor program to send up to 250 doctors to Africa through
2010.

Funding for construction of the centers in Botswana,
Lesotho and Swaziland was provided through Bristol-Myers
Squibb Foundation grants. Additional pediatric AIDS centers
funded by the initiative will be opened in Burkina Faso and
Uganda next year, and funds have been committed to build
another two centers.

Sebastian Wanless, M.B., Ch.B., PhD., senior medical
director, SECURE THE FUTURE, pointed to a related effort in
Swaziland where a prevalence rate of 33.4% was reported by
UNAIDS in 2005. "We have successfully linked a
community-based treatment support program dedicated to
preventing mother-to-child-transmission of HIV with a
pediatric HIV/AIDS clinical center to provide a coordinated
continuum of care from pre-natal testing, through delivery
to pediatric care."

The program begins at the Pilot Operational Research
and Community-Based Program (PORECO) established by SECURE
THE FUTURE in Mbabane, Swaziland, to provide PMTCT-Plus.
Services include a clinic providing highly active
antiretroviral treatment (HAART) when required, voluntary
counseling and testing, and social services such as home
visits, infant feeding counseling, nutrition and food
security. This program is coordinated at the
Baylor-Bristol-Myers Squibb Children's Clinical Center of
Excellence - Swaziland, which opened in Mbabane in February
2006.

To further extend services aimed at reducing the new
infection rate in infants, 10 Pediatric AIDS Corps
physicians will be based at the clinical center in Mbabane
and begin serving clinics in the area next month, according
to Wanless. The PORECO Project will be replicated beginning
next month at the Piggs Peak Government Hospital in Piggs
Peak, Swaziland, and its 15 associated clinics in the rural
northern Hhohho area.

Bristol-Myers Squibb Company and the Bristol-Myers
Squibb Foundation have committed $150 million to the
initiative which includes medical care and research,
community outreach and education and new infrastructure.
Programs funded include public education aimed at
prevention, training for physicians and other public health
workers, home-based care strategies, interventions to aid
orphans and other vulnerable children, clinical research
and medical care.

Eurail Group to Manage Inter Rail: All European Rail Pass Travel Brought Together Into One Dedicated Organisation
August 17, 2006

UTRECHT, The Netherlands, Aug. 17 /Xinhua-PRNewswire/
-- The Eurail Group G.I.E. will take on the management of
the Inter Rail pass products from 01 April 2007. This was
decided during the Eurail Full Assembly and Board meetings
held in Stockholm from June 20-21st by the main European
railway carriers.

The proposed full integration of the current Inter Rail
activities within the Eurail organisation was one of the
main items on the agenda. It will create a single, unique,
international Rail pass organisation dedicated to the
Management, Marketing and Development for rail pass
products both inside and outside of Europe.

The integration opens up a whole new spectrum of
opportunities according to Mr. Rene de Groot, Managing
Director of the Eurail Group G.I.E.:

"The Inter Rail and Eurail products perfectly
complement each other," he said. "Both offer
excellent value for money combined with maximum flexibility
to discover the wonders of Europe. While Inter Rail is
primarily aimed at European citizens, Eurail is aimed at
non-Europeans."

"Both are existing and successful products in
their own right who will continue to be branded separately.
This integration will allow Eurail Group G.I.E. to take the
best elements of each product and introduce new passes and
services in the future that will appeal not only to a
larger audience but will also make travelling by train in
Europe even more exciting," de Groot said.

Eurail was founded in 1959 to encourage non-Europeans
to travel by train in Europe and has since become
associated with "value for money" and high
quality 1st and 2nd Class rail passes for both young and
adult travellers.

Inter Rail, in comparison, was created in 1972, at the
anniversary of the International Railway Union, for young
people up to 21 years only for travelling in 2nd class for
one month of unlimited travel in 21 countries in Europe.

Over the years the Inter Rail offer has been extended
with more country options (currently 34 countries including
Turkey and Morocco) and there is no longer an age limit but
the basic concept has not changed: maximum travel days
& countries for the lowest possible price! Not
surprisingly Inter Rail became very popular.

At one stage "Interrailing" was a
"must" with every European youngster who no
longer wanted to travel with mum and dad and wanted to
explore the continent on their own with ultimate freedom
and flexibility. To date more than 6.8 million people have
travelled with Inter Rail and dedicated Inter Rail clubs,
websites and web logs run by enthusiastic travellers keen
to share their unique travel experiences still flourish and
contribute to keeping the strong brand name of Inter Rail
alive.

Analysys International Says China's IM Accounts Reached 800 Million in Q2 2006
August 16, 2006

    BEIJING, China, Aug. 16 /Xinhua-PRNewswire/ -- Analysys
International, a leading Internet based provider of business
information about technology, media and telecom (TMT)
industries in China, says that China's registered IM
(instant messaging) accounts reached 828.6 million by the
end of the second quarter of 2006, increasing 11% quarter
over quarter; active accounts reached 295 million,
increasing 13.78% quarter over quarter.

According to the report "China IM Market Quarterly
Tracker Q2 2006" released by Analysys International,
major IM vendors strengthened market promotions in the
second quarter. Tencent carried out various market
activities frequently and kept its leading position in IM
market. Sina's UC has gradually become an independent
product. Thanks for Sina's good relations with traditional
media and frequent market promotion activities, UC accounts
increased greatly.

http://english.analysys.com.cn/3class/detail.php?advertisement=002&id=236&name=report

Analysys International thinks IM vendors will still
have impact on the market with their rich Internet business
background and market operation experience.

Analysys International says as instant messaging
service needs to integrate other internet applications and
needs to accumulate users in advance, the market can't
accommodate too many service providers. New entrants or
small service providers can hardly survive in the IM
market. Major IM vendors have established IM-based personal
portal strategy. In the coming few years, the entire
situation wouldn't change very much. However, as vendors'
market development is different, the market position rating
would change.

This subject is further discussed in Analysys
International's report "China IM Market Quarterly
Tracker Q2 2006". For more information, please check

    SHANGHAI, Aug. 14 /Xinhua-PRNewswire/ -- Xinhua Finance
(TSE Mothers: 9399 and OTC: XHFNY), China's unchallenged
leader in financial information and media, today announced,
under International Financial Reporting Standards
("IFRS"), revenue of US$75.0 million, EBITDA of
US$11.3 million and net income of US$4.9 million for the
first half of 2006, representing 61.4%, 78.1% and 134.7%

diluted earnings-per-share (EPS) reached US$5.63, up from
US$3.26 for the first half of 2005.

Under IFRS, proforma results, adjusted to exclude
non-cash ESOP expense and one-time items, were EBITDA of

The non-cash ESOP expense and one-time items are items that

understanding underlying operating and financial trends.
Proforma IFRS adjusted EBITDA and net income margins of 18%

business transactions that are increasing shareholder
values."

"Building upon our already solid business
platform, we are as promised advancing in the media
distribution business in China. We are now able to move our
proprietary content across various media platforms, leverage
our solid client base and increase the visibility of our
brand name. We plan to expand our reach beyond our current

HONG KONG and BEIJING, Aug. 14 /Xinhua-PRNewswire/ --
China.com Inc. ("China.com"; Hong Kong Stock
Code: 8006), an online game, Mobile Value Added Services
("MVAS") and Internet services provider operating
principally in China, and a 77%-owned subsidiary of CDC
Corporation (Nasdaq: CHINA), today announced its financial
results for the three months ended 30 June, 2006. During
the period, the Company recorded total revenue of HK$150
million, representing an increase of 72% over the same
period last year, while gross profit was HK$91 million, up
103%. Profit attributable to equity shareholders was
HK$17.8 million, up 772% from Q2 2005. This is the 25th
consecutive quarter since the Company's initial public
offering in March of 2000 that the Company has shown a
profit attributable to equity shareholders. Balance sheet
position remained strong with net cash and interest-bearing
securities at over HK$954 million as of 30 June 2006.

Dr. Raymond Ch'ien, Chairman of the Board, China.com
said, "I am pleased with the substantial progress made
by the company's operations during the second quarter of
2006. We achieved new milestones across all key business
units, especially CDC Games whose outstanding performance
consistently exceeded our expectations. We appreciate that
challenges lie ahead with the recent and imminent regulatory
changes in the MVAS and online games sectors and we are
committed to work even harder to offset any short term
effects on performance and to continue our success in the
vast and growing markets of China."

    CDC Games

CDC Games became the 100% owner of 17game, the operator
of Yulgang, at the end of Q1 2006 and began full
consolidation of 17game's revenue in the second quarter.
The online games business continued to deliver robust
results with games revenues increasing by 52% to HK$61
million in Q2 2006.

CDC Games is one of the market leaders of online and
mobile games in China as demonstrated by its strong growth
momentum and financial performance. During the quarter,
Yulgang, one of its latest online games, continued to
deliver outstanding performance with registered users
exceeding 30 million, up 36% from the previous quarter and
the average concurrent players for Yulgang surpassing
242,000, up 34% from Q1.

CDC Games has delivered solid quarter-over-quarter
improvements in several important operational metrics. In
addition, CDC Games is exploring opportunities for
additional revenue sources and has recently started to
partner with the sales force of the China.com Portal to
sell ads on the games portal.

Leveraging the momentum and enormous customer base
generated by Yulgang, the Company plans to build a broader
portfolio of games and to selectively acquire synergistic
and earnings accretive gaming companies in China.
Following the success of Yulgang, CDC Games has licensed
two additional online games with a "free-to-play"
business model. Negotiations for another game are ongoing
which the Company hopes to complete by the end of Q3 2006.

The Company plans to grow organically by taking
advantage of its extensive national coverage, dynamic user
profile and strong registered user base while making
selected acquisitions using its strong cash position. The
Company will also continue to evaluate various potential
means to unlock shareholders' value which may include a
potential spin-off or carve-out of CDC Games.

    China.com Portal

In Q2, the Company continues to strengthen China.com
portal's position as one of the preferred websites for
Chinese professionals by enhancing content in the
lifestyle, career, entertainment, technology and health
channels. In May, the portal launched China's first online
comic news show, "The Straight Show", which has
been very popular among Chinese Internet users. This
program is also positioned to be a platform for interactive
online video and delivering mobile video content.

In addition, the portal entered into a number of
strategic partnerships with leading global companies such
as Google and Amazon to further enhance its search
capabilities, content and services during the quarter.
These partnerships have also assisted the portal in
monetizing its fast growing pageviews.

During the quarter, the portal continued to explore
opportunities for synergy and cooperation with its sister
companies in the CDC family. This included partnering with
CDC Software to offer Software as a Service
("SaaS") products through its robust nationwide
network and leveraging its broad advertising sales force to
sell advertisements for CDC Games' portal.

"While we are encouraged by the continuing success
of our existing operations, we are excited at the prospects
for tremendous growth for our new products and services
such as "The Straight Show" and SaaS," said
Dr. Chen Xiaowei, Chief Financial Officer of China.com.

    CDC Mobile

During the quarter, the mobile services and
applications business continued to attain healthy growth
and a more balanced revenue mix. Total revenue increased
6% quarter on quarter fueled by the growth of 2.5G
services. The Company's wireless application protocol
("WAP") and multimedia messaging services
("MMS") both recorded 27% quarter on quarter

BP to Maintain Production from Western Prudhoe Bay
August 14, 2006

    ANCHORAGE, Alaska, Aug. 14 /Xinhua-PRNewswire/ -- BP
Exploration Alaska, Inc. today announced that it will
continue production of oil from the western side of the
Prudhoe Bay oil field. Current production is 150,000
barrels per day, including natural gas liquids, and is
expected to increase to 200,000 barrels per day as
Gathering Center 1 ramps up to full production after
completion of a planned maintenance shutdown.

    (Logo:

BP will complete the installation of 16 miles of new
oil transit line at Prudhoe Bay by early next year. The
company continues to evaluate interim options for restoring
production from the eastern side of the field, subject to
the approval of the U.S. Department of Transportation,
Pipeline and Hazardous Materials Safety Administration.

The decision to continue production from the western
half of the field was taken after close consultation with
federal and state regulatory agencies, review of more than
1400 ultrasonic inspections conducted on a key five-mile
section of pipeline and a decision to begin round-the-clock
visual and infrared surveillance of the line.

"Over the last five days we have doubled spot
inspections over a key five-mile segment of the oil transit
pipeline serving the western side of the field," said
BP America Chairman and President Bob Malone. "The
results have been encouraging and have increased our
confidence in the operational integrity of this pipeline.
With greatly enhanced surveillance and response capability,
I am confident we can continue to safely operate the
line."

BP will continue ultrasonic inspection of the western
transit line and plans to complete additional inspections
in coming weeks. The company will evaluate test results on
a daily basis to determine if repairs are required or if
continued operation of the line is appropriate. BP plans
to run maintenance and smart pigs through the pipeline
before the end of November after installing a pig launcher
at Gathering Center 1.

The surveillance effort will include daily over-flights
using forward looking infrared cameras, as well as the use
of hand-held infrared cameras on the ground. The cameras
are capable of detecting small leaks by sensing changes in
pipeline surface temperatures.

Two vehicles equipped with spill response equipment and
carrying observers with infra-red leak detection equipment
will patrol the line 24 hours a day. They will be teamed
with pipeline walkers who will visually inspect the line 10
times a day.

"We will ensure that our inspection and
surveillance programs meet or exceed the requirements of
the amended corrective action order issued August 10 by the
Department of Transportation," said BP Exploration
Alaska President Steve Marshall. "State and federal
agency personnel have played an important role in reviewing
and testing our plans. I want to thank them for giving this
effort their complete and undivided attention.

"I also want to thank the hundreds of men and
women who have been inspecting pipe, studying the data,
developing plans for enhanced surveillance of the pipeline,
evaluating options and doing it all safely," Marshall
said.

Clinical Results Show Integrating Medical Care With Community Supports Is Key to Successful Outcomes for HIV Patients in Resource-Limited Settings
August 14, 2006

    TORONTO, Aug. 14 /Xinhua-PRNewswire/ -- Twelve-month
interim clinical data from a study in four sub-Saharan
African countries show that HIV-positive patients who
receive integrated medical care and broad-based community
programs achieve and sustain good clinical outcomes.
Researchers from SECURE THE FUTURE(R), an initiative of
Bristol-Myers Squibb and the Bristol-Myers Squibb
Foundation to address HIV in Africa, including scaling up
HIV/AIDS care and support in resource limited settings,
presented the data today at the XVI International AIDS
Conference.

"These data show not only that antiretrovirals
(ARVs) can work even in remote, poverty stricken areas
where healthcare and other resources are limited, but also
that integrated social supports such as nutrition,
psychosocial care, income generation and home-based care
play a key role in achieving and sustaining good clinical
outcomes," said Sebastian Wanless, M.D., senior
medical director of SECURE THE FUTURE. "The care model
that we have implemented and are evaluating with our
partners moves beyond a disease focused approach to also
address social determinants of health that can limit the
therapeutic benefit of HIV medicines."

"This project is also going the extra step in
conducting an independent evaluation of the community
services in order to truly understand and describe their
value to patients and their impact on achieving and
sustaining outcomes," said Walter Obiero, senior
technical officer, Evaluation and Research Division of
Family Health International.

An intent-to-treat analysis from the first 992 patients
on ARV therapy at SECURE THE FUTURE's Community-Based
Treatment Support sites in South Africa, Namibia, Botswana
and Lesotho -- that is, an analysis of every patient in the
study who received any ARV treatment, and the gold standard
for clinical trial analysis -- showed an overall efficacy
of 64%, where efficacy is defined as a sustainable,
greater-than-50 increase in CD4 count. The results also
showed an increase in CD4 count to a median of 270 from a
median of 105 before treatment was initiated. Viral load
was undetectable in 92% of the 296 patients for whom viral
load was tested, and adherence to medication was greater
than 95% in 84% of the 522 patients for whom adherence was
measured. Other successes are in the levels of HIV
education and testing -- including a 10-fold increase in
the number of clients receiving voluntary testing and
counseling since the program's inception -- and in
community mobilization to fight the disease and overcome
its associated stigma.

Preliminary data from the independent evaluation of the
community services provided to 587 patients on ARVs showed
that those who report that they are satisfied with the
community services they receive have a better quality of
life, lower perceived stigma, faster rate of increase and
higher levels of CD4 cells than patients who are not
satisfied. The findings were similar with respect to the
level of satisfaction with family support offered at the
four centers evaluated.

Specifically, a cohort of patients satisfied with
community services reached a median CD4 T-cell level of 251
at six months vs. a median level of 216 for a cohort of
patients who also received these services but reported that
they were not satisfied with them. Those satisfied with
family support reached a median of 232 at six months vs. a
median of 198 for a like cohort of those not satisfied. It
is generally held that a CD4 count of 200 or less is
associated with a higher rate of opportunistic infections
and other serious complications of HIV.

This research on the efficacy and feasibility of ARV
treatment and on the comprehensive model of care in
resource-limited settings is part of a SECURE THE FUTURE
program with local governmental and NGO partners to scale
up comprehensive HIV/AIDS care in Africa. To date more
than 13,400 patients have enrolled in the treatment centers
and programs in KwaZulu Natal, South Africa; Maseru,
Lesotho; Mbabane, Swaziland; Bobirwa Sub-District,
Botswana; Caprivi Region, Namibia, and Koulikoro District,
Mali. More than 5,700 patients are on ARV therapy and more
than 7,700 are receiving services other than ARVs.

Community support services available at the
Community-Based Treatment Support Centers include community
mobilization efforts to reduce stigma about HIV/AIDS and to
help at-risk people get tested; home-based care and support
from volunteers; volunteer support groups that meet
regularly to offer mutual support, including groups staffed
by people living with HIV/AIDS; a "buddy system"
to provide support and education on a one-to-one basis to
people living with HIV/AIDS; food security and income
generating activities and programs to train traditional
birth attendants, traditional leaders, church leaders and
to sensitize traditional healers.

SECURE THE FUTURE is a comprehensive public-private
initiative to help alleviate the HIV/AIDS crisis among
women and children in sub-Saharan Africa. Developed in 1999
by Bristol-Myers Squibb and the Bristol-Myers Squibb
Foundation, the initiative combines multiple approaches to
making a measurable impact in fighting HIV/AIDS where the
needs of people infected with and affected by the disease
are great and health care and other resources limited.

related health care products company whose mission is to
extend and enhance human life.

Analysys International Says China's B2B Market Reached RMB 1.26 Billion in 2005
August 11, 2006

    BEIJING, Aug. 11 /Xinhua-PRNewswire/ -- Analysys
International, a leading Internet based provider of
business information about technology, media and telecom
(TMT) industries in China, said in its recently released
report "China B2B Market Annual Report 2006",
that China's B2B market size, including online B2B services
and related offline services, reached RMB 1.26 billion in
2005.
According to Analysys International's research, in 2005,
Alibaba's B2B delivery value was RMB 520 million, occupying
a dominant market share of 41%, followed by Global Sources
RMB 374 million, 30% and Hc360.com RMB 162 million, 13%.

    (
http://english.analysys.com.cn/admin/images/1466_1.jpg )

In terms of pure online B2B services, the market size
was RMB 982 million in 2005, among which Alibaba's delivery
value was RMB 520 million, accounting for 53% of the total,
Global Sources RMB 210 million, with market share of 21%,
and Hc360.com RMB 78 million, 8%.

Analysys International says China's B2B market
competition is getting heavier as B2B platform providers
strengthened service quality, such as providing more
functions and applications on enterprise credit management
and trade transaction management. The alliance between
Hc360.com and Global Sources also posed challenge to
Alibaba's leading position. In addition, as some small and
midsize businesses choose only one online marketing service
between search engines and B2B services, the competition
between B2B service providers and search engine providers
is also getting fiercer in China.

This subject is further discussed in Analysys
International's research report "China B2B Market
Annual Report 2006". For more information, please

    TAIPEI, Taiwan, Aug. 11 /Xinhua-PRNewswire/ -- System
General Corporation (SG - TAIEX: 6280), a leading provider
of power management ICs, today announced the roll out of
the SG584X series chip. SG will start volume shipment of
the next generation of power management chips, the SG584X,
in August.

With a different design scheme from its predecessor,
the SG584X series boasts a new approach without the design
in the ITC 337-TA-541 patent infringement investigation.
Furthermore, the SG5841 product series was excluded from
the investigation, pursuant to Order No. 13 issued by the
Administrative Law Judge (ALJ) of the United States
International Trade Commission (USITC) on December 21,
2005. Consequently, the marketing for the aforementioned
products will not be adversely affected despite the pending
outcome. As a result, SG has sped the commercial and volume
production of its next generation product. Meanwhile, SG
has also assisted its customers in system verification and
safety agency approval in connection with the new product
conversion. With all these efforts, the SG584X series is
now successfully launched into the market.

As set by the ALJ, the Final Determination of the
337-TA-541 investigation from USITC will be issued in the
middle of August. If the Final Determination remains
unfavorable to SG, a limited exclusion order will issue and
become effective shortly. According to Mr. Tom Yang,
Chairman of System General, the investigation will be a
valuable experience for System General despite the adverse
consequences. Mr. Chandler Lin, President of System
General, stated, "System General has long been
committed to power management IC innovation and power
system topology improvement. Although we take initiatives
to obtain patents of new developments, the litigation case,
however, helps us acknowledge the importance of strategic
patent deployment. In addition, we have come to realize
that meeting such challenges has been easier with the
steadfast support from our partners, and we are very
appreciative of the assistance from our loyal customers as
well as the distributors that have displayed such dedicated
trust in SG during the litigation proceedings."

The ALJ issued an Initial Determination in the middle
of May, recommending the USITC issue a limited exclusion
order prohibiting the importation of SG's six accused
infringing products and two downstream products containing
the same from entering the United States. The two
downstream products are AC printer adaptor and computer LCD
monitor (excluding LCD TV).

Regardless the result of the Final Determination, SG is
committed to facilitating new products to keep pace with the
interest and needs of its customers.
