Texas Instruments Appoints Local Executive as President of China Operations

    BEIJING, March 16 /Xinhua-PRNewswire/ -- Texas
Instruments (TI) (NYSE: TXN) today announced that Mr. Bing
Xie has been appointed as President of TI's operations in
China. Based in Shanghai, Bing Xie will be responsible for
managing the day-to-day operations of TI in China as well
as overseeing sales and marketing efforts for the country.

    Bing Xie, 40, joined TI in 1999 as area Sales Manager
for North China in the Beijing-based Field Sales
organization. In 2002, he moved to Vancouver Canada as a
Technical Sales Representative as part of TI's North
America Sales team. Bing Xie moved to Shanghai in 2005 to
assume the role of North China Deputy General Manager for
TI's operations in China. He successfully led his team in
strengthening TI's position in the market by closely
working with local customers.

    Bing Xie fills the role most recently led by Gerald Kuo
who led TI's operations in China for 10 years. As a 28-year
veteran of TI, Kuo was instrumental in developing TI's
presence in China and establishing a customer-oriented
culture with the local team. Kuo returned to Taiwan the end
of 2006 and will retire from TI in March.

    Bing Xie began his career as a Field Engineer with
Hewlett Packard in Beijing in 1987. He holds an
undergraduate degree in Electrical Engineering from Xian
University of Science & Technology and an MBA in
international business from Clemson University in South
Carolina.
