【関東地域概況について】
10月の派遣求人情報122職種平均時給は1,559円（前月1,489円、前年同月1,589円、交通費含む）となっています。平均時給は前年同月を下回る結果となっていますが、掲載件数は対前年比200％以上と依然増勢にあります。
大分類職種の内訳でインターネットサイト上での募集の多い、オフィスワーク系(1,594円、4,729件)、IT・技術系（1,732円、726件）は、平均時給、掲載件数共に増加となりましたが、それ以外の職種では平均時給が下がりました。しかし、掲載件数は全ての大分類職種で大きく増加した結果、平均時給が下がったものと思われます。
【関西地域概況について】
10月の派遣求人情報122職種平均時給は1,365円（前月1,349円、前年同月1,345円、交通費含む）となっています。時給は前月から16円増加し、対前年同月でも20円増と前月・前年ともに上回っています。
大分類職種の内訳でも関東エリアと同様、オフィスワーク系(1,340円、746件)、IT・技術系(1,530円、119件)にあわせて、営業・販売・サービス系(1,286円、280件)も平均時給、掲載件数供に増加となりました。
【今後の平均賃金の傾向】
派遣求人件数は、好景気を背景にますます増加傾向にあり、平均時給も高い水準で推移するものと考えられます。
職種別では、年末に向けて特に販売・サービス系の求人需要が期間限定で高まります。よって販売・サービス系の職種の平均時給が上昇する傾向があると思われます。

道ばたで大きな声で無邪気にはしゃぐ子供達。
夕暮れを背に散歩するおばあさん、おじいさん。
今、日本各地でこうした光景がなかなか見られなくなってきています。
安全神話は崩壊し、地域社会の安全は、私たち自らが考え、行動して作り上げる
しかありません。私たちが目指すべき「安心・安全なまちづくり」とは何でしょ
うか。
技術は目覚ましい発展を遂げ、日本中どこにいても繋がり、意思疎通のとれる現
代は「ユビキタス社会」ですが、子供やお年寄りはその恩恵が受けられていない
のが現実です。
しかし、各地で技術をうまく活用し、独自の活動で「安心・安全なまちづくり」
に成功しているところがあります。
そこには、技術の活用はさることながら、地域でサービスを維持する経済の循環
モデルやコミュニティの豊かな形成があるはずです。
今年の京都研究会は、特に成功している各地の当事者をお招きし、具体的な内容
から見つかる様々なノウハウを交えながら、皆さんで持ち寄る地域の課題を解決
するべく開催いたします。

対象となるのは日本卓球のホームページ「Nittaku」で、ページ上に設置されたリンクボタンをクリックすると、自動翻訳で生成された英語のホームページが表示される仕掛け。訪問者は、一般的な英語のホームページを閲覧するのと同じ感覚で、卓球用品、選手、試合結果などの情報を得ることができる。
同社では、海外での卓球競技人口の増加を受け、外国語での情報提供を検討していたが、翻訳に必要な人手、ページの制作時間、人件費がネックとなっていた。今回の自動翻訳の導入により、元の日本語ページを更新すると同時に英語での情報提供が可能になる。翻訳に必要な人手、サーバー容量、ページ作成時間の節約効果が高いと判断した。

The Reduction of Atherothrombosis for Continued Health
(REACH)
Registry 1-Year Results
PARIS, March 20 /Xinhua-PRNewswire/ -- The REACH
Registry 1-year results paper published today in the
Journal of the American Medical Association (JAMA) show
that outpatients with atherothrombosis have a surprisingly
high risk of death or major cardiovascular illness,
especially if more than one vascular bed is diseased.
REACH also documented high event rates that accrued almost
linearly over time -- in contrast to the sharp rise
followed by a leveling off of event rates that is usually
seen in patients discharged from hospital after acute
events. REACH is the first international outpatient
registry to characterize the real-world burden of
atherothrombotic disease worldwide (REACH).
-- Within a year, around one in seven patients will
die, experience a heart attack or stroke, or be
hospitalized from a complication arising from
atherothrombosis -- clogged arteries in the heart, brain or
legs.
-- Patients with atherothrombosis in the legs
(peripheral arterial disease: PAD) have a one in five (21%)
chance of dying, having a heart attack or stroke or being
hospitalized due to cardiovascular reasons within one
year.
-- Over the same period of time, for patients who have
atherothrombosis in more than one area (heart, brain and/or
legs) this risk doubles.
-- The risk increases dependent on the number of
arterial beds affected; with 5% event rate for patients
with risk factors only; 13% for patients with risk factors
and one diseased vascular bed, 22% for patients with risk
factors and two diseased vascular beds and 26% for patients
with risk factors and three diseased vascular beds
-- REACH demonstrates that up to 1.75 million CV events
could be seen in those patients with multiple arterial
disease in the US alone over the next 12 months(X)
For patients without a history of coronary,
cerebrovascular or PAD, but who have at least 3 risk
factors for developing these conditions (such as diabetes,
high blood pressure, high cholesterol and smoking), around
5 percent had a major event or were hospitalized within 1
year.
"I find these event rates to be high, given that
we are dealing with a stable outpatient population treated
with contemporary therapy," said Dr Gabriel Steg,
professor of cardiology at Hopital Bichat-Claude Bernard,
Paris, on behalf of the REACH Registry's Scientific
Council. "The impact of polyvascular disease on the
risk of event in REACH shows that it is critical that we
stop viewing atherothrombosis as a disease of a specific
medical specialty -- cardiology, neurology, or vascular
disease -- instead we must view it as a 'global' disease,

treatment are important to manage the risk for this group
of patients," Dr. Steg said.
Objectives and Scope of REACH
The overall aim of the REACH registry is to improve the
assessment and management of stroke, heart attack and
associated risk factors for atherothrombosis. It is the
largest and most geographically extensive global registry
of patients at risk of atherothrombosis, having recruited
over 68,000 patients in 44 countries, covering six regions
-- Latin America, Asia, the Middle East, Australia, Europe
and North America -- and involving over 5,000 physician
investigators.
The REACH Registry includes a broad spectrum of
patients with atherothrombosis -- documenting the health
status and treatment of people at risk of atherothrombosis;
monitoring how they are affected; and measuring the burden
of the disease. Patients included in the REACH Registry
either have several of the risk factors that can lead to
atherothrombosis, such as, high cholesterol, high blood
pressure, smoking, and diabetes, or have a previous history
of heart attack, stroke or PAD. Participation in the REACH
Registry is strictly voluntary.
In addition, the REACH registry is based in a real-life
setting and seeks to increase overall understanding of
atherothrombotic disease across several medical
specialities (cardiology, neurology, internal medicine,
vascular medicine and office-based primary care
physicians), which allows for a more thorough assessment of
the real-world burden of the disease.
The underlying cause of heart attack, stroke and PAD
Atherothrombosis occurs when a blood clot (thrombus)
forms on a ruptured plaque (atheroma) in the wall of a
blood vessel. Plaques consist of fatty acids and
cholesterol, calcium and other materials.
The rupture of plaques and the subsequent development
of a clot can cause partial or complete blockage of an
artery in various parts of the body. When a vessel in the
heart is partially or completely blocked by a clot the
result can be a heart attack. In the brain, the same
process can cause a stroke. Elsewhere in the body, this
process can lead to reduction or blockage of blood flow in
the arteries of the legs -- PAD -- a significant risk
factor for heart attack or stroke.
Atherothrombosis is thus the common thread linking
heart attack, stroke and peripheral arterial disease.

region with the launch of the Grand Mercure Xidan Beijing
in China.
The re-branding of Grand Mercure Xidan Beijing follows
a record 2006, during which the group's Asia Pacific hotel

Development
LOUISVILLE, Ky., March 20 /Xinhua-PRNewswire/ --
Potentia Pharmaceuticals, Inc. announced today that it
is entering the clinical phase of development for POT-4,
its lead drug candidate for the treatment of age-related
macular degeneration (AMD). POT-4 is a complement
inhibitor, which shuts down the complement activation
system that could lead to local inflammation, tissue damage
and upregulation of angiogenic factors such as vascular
endothelial growth factor (VEGF).
Four landmark studies published in April 2005
demonstrated a genetic link between the complement system
and AMD, providing evidence that complement activation
plays a significant role in the cause of the disease. Less
than two years after the publication of the studies, POT-4
will be the first complement inhibitor tested in patients
with AMD.

be treated with complement inhibitors, which help treat the
early stages of the disease. We are hopeful that POT-4 may
represent a new therapeutic option for patients with dry

AMD is the leading cause of blindness in the elderly of
the western world and affects more than 10 million patients
in the United States alone. The current standard of care
for AMD relies primarily on angiogenesis inhibitors, an
approach geared towards the approximately 10-15% of AMD

angiogenesis (growth of new blood vessels and bleeding in
the back of the eye). No drug currently on the market has
been approved for the treatment of the remaining patients,
who suffer from the so-called "dry" form of the

About the Complement System and POT-4
Complement activation is an inflammatory process
involving dozens of plasma proteins, ultimately leading to
cell membrane disruption through the membrane attack
complex. Activation of the complement system is an
important part of the body's defensive immune response
against pathogens such as bacteria and viruses. In spite of
its defensive function, inappropriate or excessive
complement activation can have pathological consequences.
Multiple studies published over the past 2 years have
strongly linked the complement system to the pathology of
AMD.
POT-4 is a synthetic peptide discovered by Professor
John Lambris at the University of Pennsylvania. It binds
tightly to complement component C3, preventing its
participation in the complement activation cascade. As C3
is the central component of all major complement activation
pathways, its inhibition effectively shuts down all
downstream complement activation that could otherwise lead
to local inflammation, tissue damage and upregulation of

factor.
About Age-Related Macular Degeneration
AMD is the progressive deterioration of the critical
central region of the retina called the macula. This
disorder leads to irreversible loss of central vision. More
than 25 million patients worldwide suffer from AMD,
including roughly one-quarter of those 70 years and older.
Ten to fifteen percent of patients with AMD develop a
complication in which leaky blood vessels grow into the
retina. This form of the disease is referred to as
`neovascular' or `wet' AMD, as opposed to `atrophic' or

Windows Embedded CE Leverages Familiar Development
Environment
The TI SDK for Windows Embedded CE includes a Windows
Embedded CE board support package (BSP), drivers, OS
adaptation layer, interprocessor communication (IPC) and
DaVinci Codec Engine-based demo. The familiar Windows
Embedded CE DirectShow media framework is layered on the
DaVinci Codec Engine, allowing developers to access
DSP-based performance for video and audio applications
without needing extensive DSP development expertise. To
further speed development, TI also offers a robust
portfolio of eXpressDSP(TM) digital media software,
including the latest audio and video codecs, which can be
obtained through TI ASPs. ASPs and providers of TI
technology for Windows Embedded CE are also equipped to
work directly with developers to provide additional
services, customization and support. An SDK for Windows
Embedded CE 6.0 for the general market is planned for 2Q
2007 and will first be available from Mistral. Other TI
DSP third parties are currently offering complete Windows
CE 6.0 enabled reference solutions, such as the recently
announced Wireless Network Projector reference design by
Ingenient and the videophone reference design by Ittiam,
both based on DaVinci technology.
Easy Evaluation and Adoption

that its subsidiary, Dana Mauritius Ltd., and Dongfeng
Motor Co. Ltd. have amended the agreement to develop their
50/50 joint venture, Dongfeng Dana Axle Co. Ltd. Certain
terms of the original agreement with Dongfeng signed on
March 10, 2005, were renegotiated after Dana filed for
reorganization under Chapter 11 of the United States
Bankruptcy Code in March 2006.

Under the amendments and other agreements signed by
both companies - and subject to certain government
approvals, Dana Mauritius will make an initial payment of
38.8 million RMB (approximately USD 5 million) to Dongfeng
for a 4-percent equity interest in the joint venture.
Closing of this part of the transaction is expected to be
completed by the end of March 2007. Dana Mauritius will
purchase the remaining 46-percent equity interest after
April 1, 2008, and within three years of receiving the
aforementioned government approvals.
Dana Mauritius will invest in an existing Dongfeng
subsidiary, which is China's largest commercial vehicle
axle manufacturer, to form Dongfeng Dana Axle.
Headquartered in Xiangfan, China, the joint-venture company
will employ approximately 8,000 employees in three
production facilities in Xiangfan and Shiyan, as well as a
research and development center that will be established.
The technical center will support Dongfeng Dana Axle's
commitment to providing its customers with world-class
manufacturing processes and axle components and systems.

～商品化第一弾として「チョロＱ」、「こえだちゃん」マイホームアイテムを発売～
ＮＨＮ Ｊａｐａｎ株式会社（本社：東京都渋谷区、代表取締役社長：千 良鉉、以下ＮＨＮ Ｊａｐａｎ）と、株式会社ティーツーアイエンターテイメント（本社：東京都中央区、代表取締役社長：上村 高広、以下Ｔ２ｉエンターテイメント）は、玩具メーカー大手の株式会社タカラトミーのキャラクターコンテンツを、ＮＨＮ Ｊａｐａｎが運営するインターネットゲームポータルサイト「Ｈａｎｇａｍｅ（ハンゲーム）」上で楽しめるデジタルアイテムとして商品化することを決定致しました。
共同開発による商品の第一弾として、ハンゲームでは、２００６年１０月４日（水）より、「チョロＱ」、「こえだちゃん」のマイホームアイテム計１０点を発売致します。
ＮＨＮ Ｊａｐａｎは、２０００年にハンゲームにおいてアバターサービスを開始して以来、今日までに、２０，０００点を越えるアバターアイテムを開発・販売した実績を持ちます。通常のアバターアイテムの他、アニメやコミックのキャラクターをモチーフにしたもの、映画・テレビ番組とのタイアップによるもの等、様々な企画商品を展開して参りました。また、ユーザーがサイト上でアバターとして生活する街「ＬｉｎｋＬｉｎｋＴｏｗｎ」、街に建てた住居のインテリアを彩る「マイホームアイテム」や、街での生活を楽しくするペット「ＬｉｎｋＰｅｔ」等、従来のアバターの枠を越えた新しいデジタル・キャラクタービジネスを実現しています。
