Landmark East Office to Offer New Views of Hong Kong Harbor

    MIAMI, May 15 /Xinhua-PRNewswire/ -- International
architecture firm Arquitectonica has designed the Landmark
East Office Development for Begin Land Limited. The project
is currently under construction on a site in the Kowloon
waterfront district of Hong Kong and is slated to open in
September 2008. 

    The high-end Landmark East is a twin tower office
complex designed to take full advantage of the commanding
views of the city's waterfront from the 40- and 43-story
office towers. Located at 102 How Ming Street, the HK$5
billion project offers 110,000 square meters (1,185,000
square feet) of office space and 3,500 square meters
(38,000 square feet) of plush green landscape. 

    "Two rectilinear slab towers are formed into a
dynamic composition of slim, interlocking planes, slanted
at varying angles to create a sense of movement and
play," said Bernardo Fort-Brescia, FAIA,
Arquitectonica's founder and the project's design
architect. "The slab tower concept allowed space on
the long narrow site for a landscape plaza at grade, a
unique feature for office developments in the area."

    OF SPECIAL NOTE:

    -- The building is the recipient of the 2006 Design
Merit Award from the 
       Miami chapter of the American Institute of
Architects.
    -- The broad south elevations provide valuable office
space and corner 
       units with extensive harbor views at the upper
levels.
    -- Floor areas range from 1,300 sq. meters (14,000 SF)
to 2,400 square 
       meters (25,800 SF).
