今までに比べ、『KaUno〔カウノ〕ツールバー』を使うことにより、KaUnoへの
アイテムクリップやKaUno検索の利用がより簡素化され、Internet Explorerで
はアイテム登録のスピードが大幅に改善されている。具体的には、アイテムを
ボタン一つで簡単にクリップ、KaUnoに登録されているアイテムの検索、さらに
はKaUno上の新着上位20アイテムが随時ツールバーで閲覧できる。またGoogle、
Yahoo!Japan、Amazon.co.jpの検索機能も設置されているため、一括でアイテム
の検索をすることが可能となっている。なお、ツールバー機能の使用はすべて
無料。

同社CTO伊藤は「ユーザーからの登録方法が難しく利用しづらいという声が
かなり上がっていた。今回のツールバー導入でアイテムクリップが容易になる

corporate brands under the single corporate brand name,
Mars. By the end of 2007, with a few exceptions, all of the

Mersana Therapeutics, Inc. Announces the Appointment of Robert J. Fram, M.D. as Chief Medical Officer

    CAMBRIDGE, Ma., May 11 /Xinhua-PRNewswire/ -- Mersana
Therapeutics, a cancer therapeutics company, announced
today the appointment of Robert J. Fram, M.D., F.A.C.P. in
the newly created position of Chief Medical Officer. Dr.
Fram will oversee all clinical and medical activities at
the company as it moves forward with the clinical
development of its lead compound, XMT-1001, and future
compounds emerging from Mersana's research group.

ImmunoGen, Dr. Fram led oncology clinical development
programs for small molecule anticancer drugs at Vertex
Pharmaceuticals, Ilex Oncology, and Knoll Pharmaceuticals.
He graduated from Harvard College (A.B., 1971) and Harvard
Medical School (M.D., 1976). Dr. Fram completed his
post-doctoral training in Internal Medicine at Columbia
Presbyterian Medical Center and in Hematology and Oncology
at Dana Farber Cancer Institute and Brigham and Women's
Hospital in Boston. He is board certified in Hematology,
Oncology, and Internal Medicine and has served on the staff
at Dana Farber Cancer Institute/Harvard Medical School and
as an Associate Professor of Medicine at the University of
Massachusetts Medical School and at the University of
Maryland Cancer Center. He was a Clinical Associate
Professor of Medicine at the Brown University Medical
School. Dr. Fram has contributed to 80 publications in the
fields of experimental therapeutics and Hematology/Oncology
including journal articles, book chapters, and published
abstracts.

Platts Survey: OPEC Oil Output Rises Slightly in April After Months of Declines

    LONDON, May 11 /Xinhua-PRNewswire/ -- The 10 members of
the Organization of Petroleum Exporting Countries (OPEC)
bound by the group's output agreements produced an average
26.57 million barrels of crude oil per day in April, a
Platts survey showed May 10.  This is up 30,000 barrels per
day (b/d) from March's 26.54 million b/d and 770,000 b/d
above their 25.8 million b/d production target established
last month.

    "But these numbers have to be viewed as worrisome
for consumers," said John Kingston, Platts global
director of oil. "Although the International Energy
Agency (IEA) projects that OPEC only needs to supply the
market with 29.3 million b/d in the second quarter to keep
inventories balanced, from a full-year perspective it must
supply about 30.4 million b/d," he explained, with the
heaviest supply needs coming in the third and fourth
quarters respectively, of 30.5 million b/d and more than 31
million p/d. 

    "So OPEC has to add a significant amount of supply
in the market, just to keep inventories from declining
further later this year," Kingston said. "And
those estimates don't include any extra surge of OPEC oil
that would be needed should the US Gulf of Mexico get hit
by a significant hurricane in the coming months."

    Total production from all 12 members, including Iraq
which does not participate in OPEC output pacts and Angola
which joined the group at the beginning of this year, rose
by 80,000 b/d to 30.19 million b/d, the survey estimated. 

    Small drops in output from Indonesia and Venezuela
totaling 20,000 b/d were more than offset by increases
totaling 100,000 b/d from Nigeria, Iraq and Angola, the
survey showed.

    OPEC ministers agreed last October to remove 1.2
million b/d of crude from world oil markets from November
2006, saying supply was well in excess of demand and
setting a production target of 26.3 million b/d. In
December, they agreed to expand the cut by 500,000 b/d from
February. The cuts were based on estimated September
production of 27.5 million b/d.

    Although OPEC compliance with its 1.7 million b/d total
cut has fallen well short of 100%, world crude benchmarks
have been holding above $60/barrel. The latest Platts
survey shows that the OPEC-10 have cut supply by some 1.24
million b/d since September, when Platts estimates pegged
production at 27.81 million b/d.

New MAHLE Test Systems Dry Leak Tester Helps Manufacturers Around the World Reduce Assembly Line Testing Time

    NOVI, Mich., May 11 /Xinhua-PRNewswire/ -- MAHLE Test
Systems, a major supplier of end-of-line and diagnostic
engineering services to the global automotive industry,
today announced industry-wide availability of its new
TestLogiq (R) Mobile Evaporative System Dry Leak Tester for
automotive and component fuel systems.  

    "As government regulations for on-board
diagnostics evolve, testing tolerances on many emissions
systems are becoming more stringent," said Ben Shirey,
Director for MAHLE Test Systems.  "This tester is
engineered to meet current Environmental Protection Agency
regulations that require an audit detection of minute leaks
in the fuel system, which would be time prohibitive using
standard on-board diagnostic routines."

    As part of MAHLE Test Systems' TestLogiq (R) Mobile
platform, the portable Evaporative System Dry Leak Tester
conducts a vacuum-based test that is administered on a fuel
system through the vehicle's fuel-tank filler neck. The
test, which does not require disassembly of the vehicle,
was designed by MAHLE Test Systems' engineers to detect
leaks as small as 0.010 inches. The test can be conducted
without using vehicle power and within a cycle time
suitable for in-line testing on a production assembly line.

use at all Chrysler Group manufacturing plants in North
America and at its Toledo Supplier Park rolling chassis

Spirit AeroSystems, Inc. Wins Contract to Build Major Composite Structure for CH-53K Heavy-Lift Helicopter

    WICHITA, Kan., May 10 /Xinhua-PRNewswire/ -- Spirit
AeroSystems, Inc. (NYSE: SPR) won a 7 year contract from
Sikorsky Aircraft Corp., worth in excess of $150 million,
to supply major structural components for the CH-53K heavy
lift helicopter for the United States Marine Corps.  Under
the Systems Development and Demonstration (SDD) phase of
the contract, Spirit will design, produce and join the
helicopter's composite cockpit and cabin.  Sikorsky is a

    The CH-53K is being developed to meet the future
requirements for the U.S. Marine Corps heavy lift
capabilities, currently carried out by a fleet of CH-53E

the SDD contract could lead to the production of 156 CH-53K
aircraft to replace roughly an equal number of CH-53E SUPER
STALLION(TM) helicopters.  Spirit won the contract through
a competitive bid process.  

    Spirit will begin work on the SDD phase of the program
in 2007.  Under the contract, Spirit will design and
produce seven test articles, four of which will undergo
flight testing.  The cockpit and cabin work will be
performed at Spirit's Wichita, Kan. facility.

complete RFIC solution for cable modems designed to meet
the new DOCSIS(R) 3.0 standard: the ANADIGICS ARA2017
programmable gain upstream amplifier, and the ANADIGICS
AIT1061 integrated wideband data tuner. 

    The ARA2017 is the first upstream amp available for
DOCSIS 3.0, while the AIT1061 has the smallest form factor
(6 x 6 x 1 mm) of any current DOCSIS 3.0 tuner.  ANADIGICS

inaugural DOCSIS 3.0 equipment certification tests at
CableLabs.

    DOCSIS 3.0 enables downstream data rates of 160 Mbps

IP-TV service, these speeds are achieved by
"bonding" together multiple data channels for

    The wide capture bandwidth of the AIT1061 tuner enables

ARA2017 upstream amplifier's high output power capability

EGL Eagle Global Logistics Chosen as Primary Logistics Partner by Huntsman

Official Contract Signing Ceremony Held at Shenzhen
Distribution Center

    HOUSTON, May 10 /Xinhua-PRNewswire/ -- EGL Eagle Global
Logistics (Nasdaq: EAGL), a leading provider of personalized
supply chain solutions, has recently been awarded a
three-year contract by Huntsman, a global manufacturer and
marketer of differentiated chemicals. As part of the new
warehousing and distribution contract to launch today, EGL
will operate and manage a facility in Qianhaiwan, Shekou
District, Shenzhen, where Huntsman products and materials
will be distributed to more than 10 satellite hubs across
the Asia Pacific region.  This warehouse operation is also
part of EGL's overall expansion plans specific to Southern
China.

    An official contract signing took place at the Shenzhen
distribution center location on April 24, 2007. 
Representatives from EGL and Huntsman, including Marc
Deshamps, Huntsman Vice President, Global Supply Chain;
Vittorio Favati, EGL President Asia Pacific; and Rick Lee,
EGL Vice President of Logistics Asia Pacific were in
attendance for the ceremony.  Festivities included speeches
given from representatives of each company, the China
Merchants Group and China Government officials, as well as
a ribbon cutting and traditional Chinese Lion dance show.

    During Phase I of implementation, EGL will dedicate a
5,500 m2 warehouse for non-dangerous goods, with a
5,000-pallet storage capacity.  Initial forecasts predict
an estimated volume of 500 pallets of non-dangerous
materials during the first phase, with an expectation of
substantial growth to more than 10,000 pallets during later
phases. In addition to the bonded warehouse located in
Shenzhen, a supplementary warehouse in Dongguan will also
play a significant role in the storage and processing of
dangerous materials.

solution to address the company's unique business needs,
EGL was able to create a simplified process, which will
provide significant cost savings and shorten overall cycle

SMIC Participates in Signing Ceremony Between U.S. and Chinese Companies and U.S. - China Hi-Tech Cooperation Forum

Technology Office (USITO) and the China Chamber of Commerce

high-tech industry and remarks given by representatives of

well as the Hi-Tech Cooperation Forum.  The forum also
included presentations by the participating signing
companies from the U.S. and China - including SMIC.

of Intent) outlining plans to purchase semiconductor
manufacturing equipment from top American equipment
vendors.  The LOIs are with several vendors, including
Applied Materials, Axcelis, KLA-Tencor, Lam Research,
Novellus and Varian Semiconductor (in alphabetic order),
and total US $1.86 billion over three-year periods.  Sam T.
Wang, President of SMIC Americas, was also scheduled to give
a brief presentation on behalf of SMIC.  "As part of

 グラクソ・スミスクライン株式会社(本社:東京都渋谷区、社長:マーク・デュノワイエ、以下GSK)は、本日12月6日付で、パーキンソン病治療薬「レキップ錠」(一般名:ロピニロール塩酸塩)の販売を開始しました。

 「レキップ錠」は、パーキンソン病に主に関連しているドパミンD2受容体系に選択的に作用する非麦角系ドパミン受容体作動薬です。1996年に英国で初めて承認を取得して以来、米国、英国、フランス、ドイツをはじめとした世界60ヵ国以上で承認・販売されており、パーキンソン病治療薬として世界で最も使用されている薬剤のひとつです。

 日本では、2006年10月20日に製造販売承認を取得し、12月1日に薬価収載されました。

 パーキンソン病領域において世界的に著名なトゥールーズ大学病院 臨床薬理学 教授のオリバー・ラスコール博士は、レキップ錠について次のように述べています。
 「レキップ錠は、早期のパーキンソン病患者さんの第一選択薬として効果的な薬剤です。レキップ錠のような薬剤を早期に使用することで、L-ドーパ製剤を数年使用された患者さんにしばしば出現するジスキネジーのような運動合併症の発症を遅らせることや減少させることが可能であり、L-ドーパ製剤による治療開始の時期も遅らせることができます。」

 パーキンソン病はアルツハイマー病についで2番目に多い神経変性疾患です。振戦(しんせん)、固縮、無動、姿勢反射障害が特徴的な4大症状で、中高年に好発する原因不明で進行性の神経変性疾患です。日本における患者数は、141,000人(平成14年度厚生労働省患者調査)、有病率は人口10万対約100~130人といわれています。

 スティール・パートナーズ・ジャパン・ストラテジック・ファンド(オフショア)、エル・ピー(以下「ファンド」)は、本日、独立系大手議決権アドバイザーのグラス・ルイス&CO.(以下「グラス・ルイス」)が株式会社アデランス(東京都新宿区、徳丸勝治代表取締役社長、以下「同社」)(コード番号:8170 東証一部・大証一部)(以下「同社」)が平成19年5月24日に開催を予定している第38回定時株主総会における「買収防衛策について株主の皆様の意思を確認する議案(第6号議案)」(以下「本議案」)に反対するよう株主に推奨することを発表しましたのでお知らせいたします。

 グラス・ルイスは、「同社の提案は道理に適ったものではなく、(グラス・ルイスが)推奨できる防衛策の条件を満たしていません。」と説明しています。

 グラス・ルイスのこの推奨は、5月7日にファンドが、同社が株主の意思を確認するとしている買収防衛策は、株主を始め、従業員や取引先等の同社のステークホルダーにとって最善の策ではないと考え、同議案に反対するよう同社の株主に要請するキャンペーンを開始したことを受けて発表されたものです。

 ファンドのパートナー、ウォレン・リヒテンシュタインは、「グラス・ルイスが、株主に買収防衛策に反対を推奨しているのは心強いことです。ファンドは、買収防衛策が経営陣の保身にこそなれ、株主価値を高めたいという経営陣の意欲を殺ぐことになると考えています。」

 グラス・ルイスは、提案されている事前警告型買収防衛策の内容について、「同社の内部関係者が過半を占める取締役会が買収防衛策発動の最終決定権を保有していることを危惧しています。」と記載しています。

 グラス・ルイスは、また、「買付けの提案を正確に評価するために要求されている情報開示事項の一部は、不可能ではないにしても、回答が非常に難しい可能性があります。したがって、買付者にこれらの情報開示を要求すべきではないと考えます。これらの追加的情報開示要請は、作業が膨大であるために、買付者に対して買付けを断念させるものとなる可能性があります。」としています。

 さらに、買付提案の検討期間の延長についても否定的な見解を示しています。「買付提案に対する検討期間が90日以上に及ぶべきではないと考えます。検討期間が長引くほど潜在的な買付者にとってはそれが買付の障害となります。」

 グラス・ルイスは、これらを勘案した上で、「同社の買収防衛策は株主にとって最善の策ではない」と結論付けています。
